Coreza Print Ready Administrator Guide

Deploying Printers with Coreza Print Ready

This guide walks you through the process of discovering, configuring, and deploying printers using Coreza Print Ready.

By following this guide, you will learn how to:

  • Install the Coreza Print Ready Client.
  • Discover printers on your network.
  • Review and select the devices you wish to deploy.
  • Configure printer names and print policies.
  • Choose a deployment method for your users.
  • Generate and distribute a deployment link for user sign-in.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • You have access to the Coreza Print Ready portal.
  • The device performing the discovery can communicate with the printers you wish to deploy.
  • You know the IP addresses, hostnames, or network ranges where your printers are located.

  • You have the correct SNMP community name for your environment (the default is typically public).

     

Step 1: Install the Coreza Print Ready Client

When you first sign in to Coreza Print Ready, you'll be prompted to download and install the Coreza Print Ready Client.

The client is required to perform device discovery, enabling Coreza Print Ready to scan your local network and identify available printers.

  1. Install the Coreza Print Ready Client and ensure it is running.
  2. Click Continue to proceed to the next step.

Important: Device discovery will not work until the Coreza Print Ready Client has been successfully installed and is running on the computer performing the scan.

 

Step 2: Specify Search Targets

Define where Coreza Print Ready should search for printers on your network.

In the Search targets field, enter one or more of the following:

  • An individual IP address (for example, 192.168.1.10)
  • An IP address range (for example, 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254)
  • A hostname (for example, printer01.company.local)
  • A subnet in CIDR notation (for example, 192.168.1.0/24)

The SNMP community name is used during device discovery to communicate with printers. By default, this is set to public, but it can be changed if your environment uses a different SNMP community string.

Once you have entered the required search targets and confirmed the SNMP community name, click Find devices to begin scanning for printers.

Note: Ensure the IP addresses, ranges, or hostnames entered are reachable from the device running the Coreza Print Ready.
 

Step 3: Review and Select Printers

Coreza Print Ready will scan the specified targets and display all discovered printers.

Review the list of detected devices and select the printers you would like to add to Coreza Print Ready. Each printer includes details such as:

  • IP Address
  • Hostname
  • Manufacturer
  • Model
  • Serial Number

By default, all discovered printers will be selected. You can deselect any devices that should not be added.

Once you have reviewed your selection, click Continue with n devices to proceed to the next step.

Tip: Verify that the printer details shown match your environment before continuing. This helps ensure only the required devices are imported into Coreza Print Ready.

 

Step 4: Review Device Details and Policies

Review the discovered printers before they are added to Coreza Print Ready.

On this screen, you can:

  • Edit the Device name for each printer to make it easier for users to identify.
  • Assign a print policy to each device.
  • Apply the same policy to multiple devices at once by selecting the devices and using the Apply policy to selected devices option.

By default, all printers are assigned the Default black & white printing policy. If required, you can select a different policy from the drop-down list.

Once you have reviewed the device names and confirmed the required policies, click Continue to proceed.

Note: Device names are visible to users when selecting a printer, so it is recommended to use clear and descriptive names that match your organization's naming conventions.

 

 

Step 5: Complete the Deployment

Once the deployment has finished, Coreza Print Ready will display a summary of the deployment, including:

  • The number of printers that have been added.
  • The deployment method that was selected (Force install for all users or Let users choose).
  • The number of printers that have been assigned print policies.

 

A deployment link will also be generated. This link must be shared with your users so they can sign in to Coreza Print Ready and access the deployed printers.

All users associated with this deployment use the same deployment link to sign in. You only need to distribute the link once to the relevant users.

To copy the link, click Copy link, then distribute it using your preferred communication method, such as email, Microsoft Teams, or your internal documentation portal.

If you need to generate a new deployment link or change its expiration period, navigate to the Deployments tab in the Coreza Print Ready portal. From there, you can create a new link and configure how long it remains valid.

 

Step 6: User Installation and Sign-In

After receiving the deployment link, users can open it in their web browser to begin the installation process.

Coreza Print Ready automatically detects the user's operating system and provides the appropriate download link for the Coreza Print Ready Client. For example, Windows users will be presented with the Windows client, while macOS users will be presented with the macOS client.

To complete the setup:

  1. Click the deployment link provided by your administrator.
  2. Download the Coreza Print Ready Client for your operating system.
  3. Install and open the downloaded client.
  4. Return to the deployment page and click When installed, click this link to sign in.
  5. When prompted by the browser, select Always allow and click Open Coreza Print Ready.

Once signed in, the user will automatically be enrolled into the deployment and receive access to the printers that were configured by the administrator.

If the deployment was configured using Force install for all users, the assigned printers will be installed automatically.

If the deployment was configured using Let users choose, users can manage their available printers from the Manage Optional Printers section within the Coreza Print Ready Client.

Note: The deployment link is shared by all users in the deployment. Each user should use the same link provided by the administrator to download the client and complete the sign-in process.

 

Deployment Settings

 

The Deployment Settings section allows administrators to configure how end users install, authenticate, and receive printers through Coreza Print Ready. Administrators can choose between distributing an invite link, providing a one-click installation script, or configuring how printers are deployed to users after installation.

 

Invite Link

The Invite Link option provides a secure sign-on link that can be shared with end users. This link guides users through the installation and authentication process for Coreza Print Ready.

Choose how users will complete onboarding:

Self-install driver & sign in

  • Users download and install the Coreza Print Ready Client themselves.
  • After installation, users sign in to their organisation.
  • Recommended for most deployments.

Driver already installed - sign in only

  • Intended for environments where the Coreza Print Ready Client is already installed on user devices.
  • Users only need to sign in.
  • Installation instructions are not displayed.
Language

Select the language displayed on the installation and sign-in page that users see when they open the invite link.

Available languages:

  • English
  • French
Sign-On Link

The generated sign-on link can be copied and shared with users who need to install and authenticate with your organisation.

Use the Copy Link button to copy the sign-on link to the clipboard for distribution.

Important: The sign-on link is linked to your organisation. Anyone with access to the link can use it to sign in. Keep the link secure and only share it with authorised users.

 

One-Click Install

The One-Click Install option provides a pre-configured installation script that automatically installs the Coreza Print Ready Client and signs the user into the organisation.

When downloaded and run:

  • The client is installed automatically.
  • The client launches after installation.
  • The user is automatically authenticated with the organisation.
  • No separate sign-on link is required.
Installer Scripts

Installer scripts are available for:

  • Windows x64
  • Windows ARM
  • macOS x64
  • macOS ARM

These scripts can be distributed to end users or deployed using device management tools.

Important: Installation scripts are linked to your organisation. Anyone with access to a script can use it to sign in. Keep scripts secure and only distribute them to authorised users.

 

Deployment Mode

 

The Deployment Mode section controls how printers are presented to users after installation and sign-in.

Force install for all users

  • Printers are automatically installed for all users.
  • No user interaction is required.
  • Recommended when all users require access to the same printers.

Let users choose

  • Available printers are presented to users during setup.
  • Users can choose which printers they want installed.
  • Recommended when printer requirements differ between users or departments.

 

Security Management

The Security > Manage section allows administrators to manage organisation authentication links and installation scripts.

If a sign-on link or one-click installation script is believed to be compromised, it can be refreshed from this section.

Refreshing a sign-on link:

  • Invalidates the existing link.
  • Prevents previously distributed links from being used.
  • Generates a new link for distribution.

Refreshing a one-click installation script:

  • Invalidates all previously distributed copies.
  • Prevents older scripts from being used for authentication.
  • Requires a newly generated script to be downloaded and redistributed.

Important: Refreshing a sign-on link or installation script immediately invalidates previous versions. Users must use the newly generated link or script to complete installation and authentication.
