Overview
Use a retention policy in Coreza Print to control how long print jobs are retained in a cloud pull-print queue after they are uploaded.
This article explains how to create a retention policy and apply it to a new or existing cloud pull-print queue.
Before you begin
Sign in to the Coreza Print admin portal using an account with access to System configuration → Policies and MFD network → Queues.
Create a retention policy
- Go to System configuration → Policies.
- Select Add → Retention Policy.
- Enter a unique Name that identifies the policy, such as
Retain cloud jobs for 1 day. - Optionally, enter a Description explaining the policy's purpose.
- Under Configuration, select a Job Retention Period. The available periods are 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, and 90 days.
- Select Create Retention Policy.
The portal returns to the Policies page. You can now select the policy in a cloud pull-print queue's settings.
Apply the policy to an existing queue
- Go to MFD network → Queues to open Cloud pull-print queues.
- In the Cloud pull-print queue map, expand the relevant data storage region and select the queue.
- Open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the queue panel and select Edit.
- In Retention policy, select the policy you created.
- Select Update to save the queue settings.
To check the saved assignment, open Edit again and confirm that Retention policy displays the intended policy.
Apply the policy when creating a queue
- Go to MFD network → Queues.
- Select your account in the queue map, then select Add queue.
- Enter a Queue name.
- Choose the appropriate Data storage region.
- In Retention policy, select the policy you want to apply.
- Configure any other queue options you need, then select Create.
If the new queue displays No MFDs allocated to this queue, use Allocate MFDs to assign the multifunction devices that will serve the queue.
Example: Configure one-day retention
Create a policy named
Retain cloud jobs for 1 dayand set Job Retention Period to 1 day. Then edit the target cloud pull-print queue, select that policy in Retention policy, and select Update.Creating the policy alone does not assign it to a queue. Complete the queue assignment to use the policy for that queue.
